10/8/20 - This is an excellent example of an Arisaka Type 38 Carbine, issued to the Japanese military during WW2. It is all matching and was made in the Mukden Arsenal. Unfortunately, the mum has been ground off. Overall, it is in excellent condition. There is not much finish loss - the most obvious sign of wear is spotty oxidation and areas of minor pitting throughout. There is noticeable thinning and more significant pitting on the floor plate. The bore is shiny and minty. The stock is excellent, just some minor dings and bruises. It comes with a period-correct sling. The leather is cracked and is torn down the middle.
