11/27/18 - This is an original, all matching and correct Mauser K98 rifle made in 1941. The rifle has a nice stock that's been lightly sanded with two waffen proofs and a Heer army "H" on the right side near the butt of the stock. Unfortunately the stock has been duffle cut at the barrel band. The metal parts are all matching numbered and have normal "honest" aging wear. This is normal patina / discoloration and not rust or pitting. This normal wear is fairly significant and throughout all the metal. The bolt has a smooth operation and functions properly. The bore is about 7/10 with great rifling yet patina and some minor residue in a few places within the bore. Comes with an original bayonet, leather shoulder strap, cleaning rod, and sight hood. The bayonet is a later war variation with a wood handle, and mis-matching scabbard. The blade and the leather frog are dated 1943 and maker stamped. Guaranteed original and authentic.
