11/26/18 - This is an original 1943 Remington 1903-A3 rifle from WW2. The rifle is all original and correct with all parts blued except for the receiver which is parkerized. The finish on the metal parts has some normal thinning and use wear. There isn't any excessive wear or corrosion on the metal parts though. The bore is very nice with excellent rifling. There is some minimal residue and signs of being fired, but this can easily be cleaned. The stock is original and has the proper cartouche and FJA inspector stamp, but these stamps are EXTREMELY faint. They're to the right of the "RA" arsenal stamp on the left side of the stock. The upper portion of the handguard closer to the barrel has a crack in it - see photos. This is a very light crack and some would see it as "character" in the wood. Otherwise the stock is in great shape. Guaranteed original.
