11/23/22 - This is a Finnish Sako M39 from 1942, and is very uncommonly seen with all matching numbers like this one. There is, however, an import mark on the barrel. Finnish "SA" marking on the receiver. No markings or numbering on the stock. Overall, the gun is in very condition, retaining about 90-92% of its finish. There is minor thinning on the front barrel band, on the bottom of the magazine, and on the barrel where it meets the receiver. Minor wear on the high edges of the receiver, where there is also some tiny scratches. A few small spots of discoloration along the barrel. Noticeable finish loss and tiny dings on the butt plate. Cleaning rod is present. Excellent stock with no major defects. but there is a small chip on the right side of the butt stock where it meets the butt plate. Mint bore.
