9/10/18 - This is amongst the most complete veteran bringback groupings we have ever offered, and could be one of the hallmarks of your collection. This is a complete Walther P.38 rig that comes directly from the family of the vet, and still retains his name and the serial number of the pistol on all pieces. Made in 1942, the pistol comes with original holster, both original magazines, capture document, spare shoulder holster, mailing crate and photocopies of his military resignation letter and customs declaration. The pistol retains about 95% original blue with standard holster wear on high edges. All small parts are properly waffen marked, including the grips. Both original magazines are numbered to the gun. The original hardshell holster is '42 dated, maker and waffen marked. The grouping includes a minty shoulder holster with the name of the vet and the serial of the gun, and was more likely an immediate post-war pickup by the vet stationed in Munich. The mailing crate shows the vet's info, serial of the gun, and is addressed to the vet's wife.
