1/6/21 - This is an excellent example of a Mauser K98 rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1941. The gun is completely matching except for the barrel bands and safety lever, which are un-numbered. It is possible they were replaced at some point. There are waffen proofs throughout. The metal parts have retained most of their finish, but there is spotty oxidation throughout. The stock is very nice and has visible waffen proofs - there are a couple of light cracks and small chip behind the action. The gun comes with a sight hood, cleaning rod, and sling. The bore is shiny with strong rifling, just a bit of pin-pricking in the grooves.
