1/6/21 - This is a Berlin-Lubecker K98 Rifle, issued to the Nazi military in 1940. This gun is a all matching except for the rear barrel band (which is un-numbered) and has waffen proofs throughout. There is a "237" Berlin-Lubecker factory code on the receiver. The metal parts are in good condition and have retained most of their finish, but there is an even layer of brown patina throughout. The wood stock has visible but faint waffen proofs. It is clear the stock was sanded at some point. The bore has strong rifling, but there is minor pitting in the grooves.
