9/9/20 - This is a Mauser Luger Rig issued to the Nazi military in 1939. The chamber is dated 1939, and the toggle has the "S/42" Mauser factory code. The gun is all matching and functions well. The right side of the slide has the proper "Eagle 63" Nazi military proofs. Excellent, unnumbered wood grips. It comes with a period-correct mismatched luger magazine. The mag bottom is stamped "Eagle 63". This gun has retained roughly 70-75% of its original bluing. This gun is a little difficult to rate because much of the finish looks thin but it could just be dulling rather than actual finish loss. In any case, there is muzzle wear, wear on the side plate, and thinning on both straps. Generally, there is minor wear on the high edges of the frame and slide. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pin-pricking throughout. Included in the rig is a very nice, waffenamt, 1939-dated, black leather holster and an unmarked luger tool.
