5/27/20 - This is an excellent example of a complete Mauser Luger rig from 1937, and is even accompanied by the original customs certificate that is serialized to the pistol. The document itself has a couple areas where tape was removed and part of the name is obscured, but our consignor believes the document traces the pistol back to Pvt. Paul H. Backs, who was in the Air Corps and served from 1938-1946. The gun is all matching throughout, including both of the original magazines, and the original grips. It has 95+% of the original blue remaining, with most of the finish loss/discoloration on the sideplate. There's also a bit of high edge thinning on the pistol, finish loss on the ear of the receiver, and minor thinning on the front strap. Mint bore. Original E/63 tool is present. Rig is completed by a very nice holster that is 1939 dated with Gebruder Klinge maker mark.
