8/5/2019 - This is an all matching and original Nazi Mauser Luger from 1936. This gun was issued to the German Army before hostilities broke out in 1939. The finish is the early "dust blue" with straw colored small parts. The original bluing rates in the 95 -96% range with minor high edge wear and some patina under the finish. Excellent metal with no pitting. Small parts still show 50-65% original straw. Grips are unmarked but most likely original to the gun. The bore is good overall but does have some minor frosting, but good rifling. Mechanics seem very good. The magazine is a period correct armorers replacement as it is blank but 42 marked (Mauser) and Eagle 655 proofed. The mag is fairly rare field replacement. Overall a nice example of a WW2 era Military luger. A great collection / investment piece.
