12/16/20 - This is an all matching and original 1917 DWM Artillery Luger with unit marking on front strap. The marked (172.R.12.10) indicates the pistol went to the 172nd Infantry Regiment. The numbers all match, including the grips but not the magazine. The pistol would be in terrific condition if not for the barrel, which shows thinning throughout on each side. The magazine is period original but base was renumbered at some point. Strong, shiny bore. These Artillery Lugers with unit markings are far less common than those without.
