8/26/15 - This an example of an all original 1908 DWM Bulgarian contract Luger pistol. There were about 10,000 of these pistol ordered by Bulgaria between 1908 and 1910. The chamber is marked with the DWM scroll monogram and unique Bulgarian Crest on top of the front toggle. This crest consists of the Bulgarian Crown over a shield with a rampant lion inside. The right side of the barrel extension is stamped with a single "Bulgarian Rampant Lion" proof mark with no other acceptance proofs anywhere. The lower safety lever area is marked "FIRE" and the left side of the extractor is marked "LOADED" both in Cyrillic lettering. The pistol frame has the distinctive Bulgarian lanyard loop on the bottom of the rear grip strap. It has standard walnut grips that are numbered to the pistol. Correct nickle magazine with wood base bottom. The pistol is all matching including the grips. The finish is thin and it has some pitting on the barrel and by the DWM mark. Okay bore with frosting.
