5/25/20 - This is a very nice, all original 1906 DWM American Eagle Luger. The pistol is all matching with about 95% polished blue remaining, with standard high edge wear. The bluing is somewhat tough to rate as there's very little actual bluing loss, but oxidation spots all over the pistol, especially the straps. Small parts retain about 50% original straw. Grips show minor handling wear but no major flaws and have nice checkering. They are unmarked. The pistol comes with the rare and desirable 'CAL. 9M/M' bottom, which can sell for about $400 on its. The bore is shiny with strong rifling and only minor signs of use. These pistols went to the US retail market and the manufacturers at DWM realized that nation-based crests increased sales of these lugers, so that is why you find the American Eagle over the chamber. This is also why you see GERMANY marked on the frame, denoting these were exported for commercial sale.
