8/4/20 - This is an excellent, all original 1906 DWM American Eagle Luger, chambered in .30 Luger. These pistols went to the US retail market and the manufacturers at DWM realized that nation-based crests increased sales of these Lugers, so that is why you find the American Eagle over the chamber. This is also why you see GERMANY marked on the frame, denoting these were exported for commercial sale. This particular gun has retained about 96-97% of its original bluing. There is very minor thinning along the barrel, minor muzzle wear, high-edge wear (especially on the side plate), and minor freckling on the straps. The are spots of discoloration on the the chamber and the right side of the slide. The initials "AM" are scratched into the right side of the slide. Some of the strawed finish is still in tact on some of the small parts. It comes with a chipped, period-correct, blank, wood bottom magazine. The bore is decent, but there is minor pitting throughout.
