4/11/19 - This is an Indian War Springfield model 1880 Cavalry / Hunting knife. The blade comes with an original, period correct leather sheath that has a maker stamp of some kind of the front-facing side of the frog, but we can't decipher what it says due to aging in the leather. The leather frog and scabbard are decently cracking throughout, but completely in tact. The blade is excellent and very clean though. Some light surface wear on the blade. The wood handle is excellent and original. The pommel is numbered 713 on one side.
