1/19/22 - This is a very nice example of an Arisaka Type 38 Cavalry Carbine issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The gun is mostly matching, but the bolt release latch and rear sight are mismatched. This one has a completely intact Imperial mum stamp on the receiver. Overall, it is in very nice condition. Generally, there is very minor wear around the high edges and around the muzzle. There is a layer of minor brown patina under the finish of most of the parts, probably most apparent on the floor plate and trigger group. The stock is nice, but there are minor dings, dents, and scratches throughout. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor frosting in the grooves.
