12/26/17 - This is a rare and original Colt M1851 Navy revolver, with about 80-85% blue remaining. There aren't really any major areas of finish loss, just thinning and dulling of the blue throughout. This revolver was manufactured in 1860 and still shows a good portion of the Navy scene on its cylinder. All numbered parts are matching. Chambered in .36 cal. Holster is in worn but original condition, with maker mark (Gaylord) still visible on the back. There is some cracking or minor tears in a couple areas, and the brass knob is no longer attached. Revolver bore has strong rifling but needs a good cleaning, and shows residue/minor corrosion throughout.
