11/4/21 - This is a very nice example of a Walther P.38 that was issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching, has the proper "Eagle 359" Nazi military acceptance proofs, and has a very nice "100" serial number. There is an import mark on the right side of the frame and an "Eagle BH" marking on the left side of the frame, indicating this gun was diverted to the Austrian military after WW2. It comes as a rig with a nice 1944-dated holster, a Walther magazine with post-war numbering (non-matching), and a period-correct jvd magazine. The gun has been completely refinished and has retained about 98% of its new bluing. There are just hints of wear at the very front edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Some very light scratches on the right side of the slide. Comes with very nice bakelite grips - the left one is brown, the right one is black and likely cut down. The bore has good rifling with light freckling here and there. The de-cocker is functional.
