11/5/21 - This is a nice example of an AC 40 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1940. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" Nazi military acceptance proofs throughout even on the small parts. This one also comes with an original matching-numbered magazine. It has retained roughly 60% of its original high polish finish. The front grip strap has lost most of its finish and has a few spots of oxidation. There is spotty, scratchy wear on the whole slide (including the top), concentrated mostly around the high edges. There is some splotchy discoloration and a few tiny pits on the right side of the slide. Some minor scratchy wear around the muzzle. Comes with excellent original grips that are waffen-proofed and matching-numbered to the gun. The bore has decent rifling with spotty oxidation and pin-pricking throughout, heaviest near the muzzle end. De-cocker is functional.
