10/28/21 - This is a nice example of a Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1938. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 63" Nazi military acceptance proofs on the right side of the slide. The barrel was replaced at some point - it is un-numbered and has unknown markings on the underside. The gun has retained roughly 70% of its original finish. Most of the finish loss is on both grip straps, where there are also some tiny dots of oxidation. There is spotty/scratchy wear on the side plate, side rails, and around the muzzle. There are some small handling marks on the barrel and a few small scratches on both sides of the frame. Comes with excellent wood grips - the right panel is un-numbered and waffen-proofed, and the left panel is matching but appears to have been re-numbered. It also comes with a period-correct mismatched magazine. The bore is shiny with strong rifling and very minor frosting in the grooves. It appears the front sight and one of the grip screws were painted with red paint at some point and mostly rubbed off.
