10/20/21 - This is an excellent example of a DWM Luger that was manufactured in 1917. It was originally issued to the Imperial German military during WW1 and was then rework and issued to the German police force. That is evidenced by the Imperial German military proofs on the right side of the slide, the "1920" rework marking on the right side of the slide, and the added police sear safety. It comes as a rig with a matching police arsenal-numbered magazine and a 1915-dated holster in fair condition (there is light cracking in the leather throughout and a few small holes around the toe). The gun is all matching and has retained about 95% of its original finish. There is minor wear on the side plate, on the side rails, and around the muzzle. One spot of wear on the trigger guard. There are a few tiny pits on the barrel and areas of very minor pin-pricking on the straps and around the muzzle. Comes with very nice mismatched wood grips. The bore has good rifling with minor pin-pricking throughout.
