10/20/21 - This is a very nice example of a Sauer Model 1913, chambered in 7.65mm. This is a third-variant pistol, characterized by the added spring-loaded lever under the safety lever. It is all matching and has the proper "Crown N" commercial proofs. It comes as a rig with a nice pebble-grain holster and two period-correct magazines. The holster is Berlin maker marked on the inside and looks like it is dated 1917 (very faint). There is what appears to some sort of police unit marking on the back of the holster and a "BAZ" ink stamp on the inside of the top flap (not sure of the meaning). The gun has retained about 90% of its original finish. The safety lever has some noticeable fire-blue left, but there is spotty discoloration on it. There is wear around the muzzle and spotty wear on the side rails of the frame. There are also spots of wear on the front strap and on the slide to the right of the ejection port. There is some spotty oxidation on both straps and a few minor pits on the front strap. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
