10/5/21 - This is a very nice example of a Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs. This particular example also has a scarce Nazi Eagle test proof on the right side of the trigger guard. It has retained about 93% of its original finish. Most of the finish loss is on the right side of the slide where the wear is scratchy. There is also a small area of minor pitting. Just a hint of thinning on the front strap and very minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Comes with excellent reddish grips and a period-correct Walther magazine. The bore has decent rifling with pin-pricking throughout. De-cocker is functional.
