9/30/21 - This is a nice example of an Arisaka Type 38 rifle issued to the Japanese military during WW2. The bolt and receiver are mismatched, but it does have a fully intact mum stamp on the receiver. Bayonet lug also mismatched. There is some finish loss is on the receiver, floor plate, and barrel bands. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there are areas of casting flaws and heavy pitting along the whole barrel and below the trigger guard. Areas of more minor pitting throughout. The stock has bruises, dings, and scratches throughout. The rifling in the bore isn't bad, but there is heavy oxidation and minor pitting throughout.
