9/29/21 - This is a very nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in November of 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" military proofs. The gun comes with an excellent 1944-dated softshell holster and two period-correct magazines. The gun has retained about 90% of its finish. Most of the finish loss is on the underside of the trigger guard and front strap, where there is also some patina. But there is also wear around the muzzle and on the very front edges of the slide. Comes with excellent grips. The bore is excellent with strong rifling. De-cocker is functional.
