9/24/21 - This is a nice example of a Mauser Model 1914 pistol sold in the commercial market in the 1920's. It is all matching and has the proper "Crown U" commercial proofs. It has retained about 70% of its original finish. Most of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there is spotty wear throughout, concentrated around the high edges and around the muzzle. Some light scratches and dings on the underside of the frame near the muzzle. Some spotty oxidation and pin-pricking around the muzzle and on the front strap. Comes with a nice wood grip (minor bruising) and a period-correct magazine. The rifling is slightly worn with pitting throughout.
