9/17/21 - This is a nice example of a Sauer 38h sold in the commercial market during WW2. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle N" commercial proofs. It lacks military proofs. It has retained roughly 80% of its original finish. Most of the finish loss is on the straps where there is also spotty oxidation, and the profile views are actually quite nice. There is minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle as well. Comes with excellent black bakelite grips and a period-correct magazine. The bore is mint.
