9/17/21 - This is a minty example of what we're calling a "Black Widow" Mauser HSC sold in the commercial market in 1943. We call it a "black widow" because this one comes with black or very dark brown bakelite grips. It is all matching, lacks military proofs, and has the proper "Eagle N" commercial proofs. It has retained about 97% of its bluing. There is just a hint of wear around the muzzle and some tiny handling marks on the underside of the frame and on the front strap. There is an area on the right side of the slide where there are a few tiny pits. Comes with a period-correct halfmoon magazine. Minty bore.
