9/16/21 - This is an excellent example of a rare Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1942. It is all matching, has a "byf 42" Mauser makers mark, and has the proper "Waffen 135" military proofs. There is even a "Waffen 135" military proof on the takedown lever, a very early feature. Mauser only made about 19,000 P.38's in 1942, making it only slightly more common than the Zero Series or Nazi-marked SVW 45's. WE believe this particular gun has been completely professionally restored and refinished, so the finish is beautiful. It has retained virtually all of its new finish. Comes with excellent grips and a period-correct Mauser magazine. The bore has strong rifling with freckling throughout. De-cocker is functional.
