9/10/21 - This is a very nice example of a Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military proofs. This one is scarce because it has a single-line slide legend. It is in the proper "m" serial block for this variation. It has retained about 93% of its original finish. Most of the wear is on the front strap, where there is also some spotty oxidation. There is also very minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. An area of minor spotty wear on the right side of the slide. Comes with excellent reddish grips and a period-correct Walther magazine. The bore has strong rifling with minor freckling in the grooves. De-cocker is not functional.
