8/10/21 - This is an excellent example of a K98 sniper rifle. The gun comes fit with a scope mount and an original WW2 scope (the optics are good but a little cloudy). The whole gun is matching, including the stock, scope, and scope mount. Some of the parts may have been force-matched. There are "SS" runes and "Death Heads" on the barrel, on the scope, and on the underside of the stock. There is an unknown marking on the top of the barrel near the chamber. The chamber has no date or maker mark. There is, however, a rare "S/42G" Mauser G Date code on the right side of the barrel. Nazi waffen proofs throughout. This is likely a put-together sniper, but still a really cool example. It has retained most of its bluing with minor dings and handling marks here and there. The stock has waffen proofs that look like they were reapplied. The stock is excellent with tiny handling marks here and there. Minty bore.
