8/2/21 - This is a very nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 that was originally issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" military proofs. It was then reworked by the East Germans after the war, as evidenced by the East German proof on the left side of the frame. The barrel is a replacement, as it is marked "Crown N" and is numbered to match. It comes with a matching magazine that we assume was done when it was reworked. Possibly a police-issue. When it was reworked, it was refinished. It has retained virtually all of its new finish with some very tiny handling marks here and there. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
