8/3/21 - This is a very nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in September of 1943. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" military proofs. This one is unique because the "P.38" logo on the slide legend is a factory double-stamp. It has retained about 92-93% of its finish. There is minor wear around the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. There is spotty discoloration and oxidation on the front strap and underside of the trigger guard. Some thinning and spotty oxidation on the barrel. Comes with excellent grips and a period-correct magazine. The bore has strong rifling with spotty freckling in the grooves. De-cocker is functional.
