7/30/21 - This is a rare Spreewerk-made P.38. It was left at the factory at the end of the war, made from parts, and was reworked by the Czech's in 1946. This one also has a rare FN-made slide. There is an "Eagle 88" Nazi proof and an asterisk on the right side of the slide, indicating it failed initial inspection and was sent back to the factory for repair. The left side of the frame has an "E" proof, a Czech lion, and a peened Nazi proof. The top of the barrel also has a Czech lion. The gun is matching and has retained about 96% of its finish. There is splotchy discoloration and wear on the front strap and minor wear on the high edges of the slide. Comes with excellent grips and a Czech-numbered matching magazine. The bore is shiny with good rifling with very minor pin-pricking in the grooves. De-cocker is functional.
