11/5/19 - This is an uncommon variation holster proper for a Simson Luger. The holster was originally made in 1917 for use during WW1. After the war, the holster was re-purposed for use with a SImson Luger. We assume this by looking at the interior leather, where you can see a simson style cleaning rod pouch and tool pouch. The original tool pouch was removed, as indicated by the extra exterior lines of stitching on the lid. Further, there's a "29" double date stamp on the interior leather. The leather has some scuffing and light surface wear but overall is in great shape. All original leather and stitching. Normal pliability. A very hard to find holster!
