11/2/21 - This is an original M42 beaded helmet, as issued to civil police, Luftschutz, and factory guard personnel. The shell has dark blue paint throughout, in excellent overall condition. No dents and minimal paint loss. The interior of the shell is serial numbered and maker stamped "NS 64". The leather liner is stamped "56" in ink and is in great condition. The helmet also features a rare, late WW2 production plastic chin strap. See photos.
