8/20/21 - This is a WW1 production M1898 Gewehr Sawback Bayonet. The bayonet is in great overall condition with a very nice, clean blade. The blade is maker stamped on one side. The hand guard is numbered "485" and has some mild patina throughout. The grips have no cracks or chips. The pommel is proof stamped as shown. The scabbard is covered with a light surface patina amidst the blued finish. No major dents or issues. The leather frog appears to be WW2 era, as it's 1941 dated. A very nice piece overall.
