8/17/20 - This is an original 2nd model Luftwaffe dagger with an original portepee. The dagger has no maker stamp, but there is evident cross graining on the blade. The blade is relatively clean with only a few specs of oxidation and light scabbard wear. The yellow bakelite handle has one small chip near the pommel. Metal fixtures are tight on the handle. The scabbard has darkened with patina but has no dents and is otherwise excellent. There is some light fraying on the rope of the portepee, but the knot is tight.
