8/14/20 - This is an original WW1 C96 leather harness with a C96 cleaning rod. The rod is excellent, but we don't believe it is period correct (post war production). The leather harness is nice with all original leather in tact, but there are some restitched areas worth noting. First is the top / overhead strap being restitched to the back leather. Second is the right belt loop is missing stitching / not attached on the lower portion of stitching. The remaining stitching is original and in tact. The leather has some surface cracking on the overhead strap, as well as surface scuffing on the cleaning rod pouch, and around the knob / closure holes. Overall in good condition and a fairly rare piece.
