8/17/20 - This is an original Japanese Civil Defense helmet. These were issued to members of the mainland defense in Japan. The helmet has nice brown paint throughout with some light brown patina and minor paint loss in some areas. The exterior shell has a small dent as shown in photos. The interior liner has some signs of aging and use wear but no excessive wear. There is a Japanese symbol visible on the interior crown of the liner. There's no chin strap included, as shown. No other markings on the shell.
