7/17/18 - This is an original, early production Walther PP pistol made in the 2nd year of production - 1933. The pistol has early features such as a large ring hammer, extended barrel (not flush with the slide), and 90 degree safety, The safety lever looks like it was fire blued, but the fire bluing has worn down significantly. The lever also seems like a later production replacement part because there's a small gap between the indent and where the lever stops. I believe it should be a fat safety and it's not. The other parts are all original and correct. The finish is about 92-93% overall, which is excellent for an early production gun like this. The slide has most of the wear - shown on edges and near the muzzle (typical slide wear). The front and back straps both display edge wear and some thinning on the finish. The early weighted grips have minor cracking in them as well - another typical flaw of the early Walther production methods - the weighted grips often warped and cracked over time. The bore is clean with some minor signs of use. Guaranteed original and fully functional.
