SOLD - WWI 1918 Eddystone Rifle

8/23/18 - This is an original late WW1 production 1918 dated Eddystone rifle. The rifle is in great to excellent condition overall. The metal has no rust or pitting, and almost all of the original bluing in tact. The bolt is flaming bomb ordnance stamped and serial numebred matching to the gun. The bore is excellent and very clean with strong rifling. Only the slightest hint of use wear. The wood stock is unmarked and excellent with a few light scuffs and knicks but no cracking or chips in the wood. The only notable wear on this rifle is the underside of the gun where the floorplate and trigger guard both have finish loss  and discoloration. The barrel is 1918 dated and flaming bomb stamped. The leather strap is unmarked, and we doubt it is period correct, although the style does look old / aged. Guaranteed original and authentic.  There is a small import mark under the barrel.
