7/10/20 - This is an original German Afrika Korps pith helmet. These were used by the German army in Africa. This is a 2nd Pattern with shields on both sides that are intact and clean, and show very slight age toning. The exterior is fairly clean. The brim / edging on the holster is tattered and the green leather is missing in a few areas. The leather forehead strap on the interior is flaking and fairly worn, but still in tact. The red interior is slightly faded as well, but no major issues. A nice all original, yet used example.
