6/24/21 - This is an original Springfield Armory Model 1909 Bolo machete. The blade is US ordnance stamped with "SA" maker and 1915 date. The reverse is marked "U.S. 17474". The blade is unsharpened and has a few small spots of oxidation / dark discoloration. The handle is has a hairline crack in one side of the wood. This crack is towards the top of the handle, and runs vertically down through the top pin. The grip is still secure, however. The sheath is in great condition with original leather in tact and Rock Island Arsenal 1915 maker stamped.
