6/11/19 - This is an original pigskin luger that has a repaired lid attachment. The lid and body of leather were separated, and we had them re-attached by a professional using original thread. Please see photos. There's an additional added piece of leather that sisters these two pigskin pieces together. Priced accordingly. The back of the holster is DLU maker stamped with a waffen eagle proof stamp, but the date isn't visible. This is common because of the position of the date in regards to the belt that this holster was attached to. The belt rubs the leather and the stamp "comes out". Would have to have been a 1941 or 1942 as these are the only two years pigskin holsters were made.
