5/31/18 - Two boxes of .30 M1 Caliber coming from Frankford Arsenal. 39 rounds total. 1 box is missing 1 round, and the other box is unopened. All ammo is in excellent condition. The rounds have green and white painted bands on the tips, which indicate these are frangible rounds, meaning they were intended to be shot at towed aircraft for gunnery practice as the rounds would disintegrate on impact. The unopened box is a post war government repack judging by the label. They used a unused or emptied traced box and put regular ball ammo within. Boxes have slight wear, but are in excellent condition overall. WWII guaranteed as the ammo was manufactured in 1945.
