4/7/20 - This is a late WW2 production K98 bayonet with the original matching scabbard and a leather frog. The blade has light thinning and most of the finish loss is near the tip. No rust or pitting. One side is serial numbered 5995a, as is the scabbard, and the reverse side of the blade is "44cqh" dated and maker code stamped. The handle is excellent, with some normal light finish loss on the metal pommel. The scabbard has a few very small dents, as well as small areas of patina and light finish loss throughout. There's some scuffing / wear to the leather throughout the frog, as shown in photos. Maker stamp on the frog is not distinguishable.
