3/28/19 - This is an original OSS (Office of Strategic Services) WW2 era Sterile drop knife. This one is a 2nd pattern variation made with the intention to be dropped behind enemy lines to provide weapons for resistance fighters. I believe these were dropped in the Philippines for use against the IJA. The blade is 8 inches, and the overall length is about 13.5 inches (included spike on the butt of grip). Great condition with light oxidation on the blade. Very nice grip and comes with the original scabbard. See photos! No markings or maker stamps.
