3/19/18 - This is a beautiful, mint condition Springfield rifle bayonet (could also be used on the M1 Garand). The bayonet has excellent wood handles and minty blade. One of the wood panels has "103" stamped into it - most likely a unit stamp for WW2. The blade has very minimal wear, and is marked "SA 1921" with a US flaming bomb on one side, the reverse side is serial numbered and stamped "US". The scabbard is gorgeous, the nicest I've seen. There is brown canvas over a hard cover and a leather toe. The stitching is all in tact and excellent. The back of the scabbard canvas is stamped "BOYT" and has what looks like a "41" date stamp. These were made and issued for WW2 after originally being made in the 1920s. Guaranteed original and authentic!
