6/16/22 - This is a very rare Zero Series Walther P.38, first variation. One of only 1,000 produced, it features the hidden extractor and rectangular firing pin. This particular example has all matching numbers, including the original grips and magazine. Oddly, the magazine has another number/serial on the right side of the body, but we aren't sure why. The numbering appears to be the correct font and the magazine is the correct variation with double E/359 proofs at the bottom of the spine, and even the internal parts are E/359 marked. The finish on the pistol was restored at some point, though is more evident on the frame with some pitting under the blue. The pistol is in good mechanical order with a functional de-cocker. The bore has good rifling but frost and pinpricking in the grooves.
